Do anti-ageing treatment/products work?

For example, I was looking at prevage anti-ageing treatment http://www.beautylou.co.uk/173012-anti_ageing_treatment_prevage.htm
It says: "Clinical tests with Prevage prove a significant decrease in the appearance of lines and wrinkles and improvement in the look of firmness, tone, texture and radiance."
Is it worth the money?

These companies are laughing all the way to the bank with their ‘miracle creams that take 10 years off your face.’

The best things to do to keep nice skin is to drink a lot of water,do not smoke, and stay out of the sun as much as possible.

I do not know anything about Prevage. But many companies claim that the products they sell reduce or decrease ‘the appearance of’ ……… I know that for myself I like many of the Japanese companies as they incorporate natural plant extracts. You may have to do some testing and experimenting with different products to find something that you like and feel works well with your skin type.

Im sure that some of the products do make a little difference, but I have learned that regular vitamin e oil, works very well.

Read between the lines (excuse the pun!)
Reduces the APPEARANCE of – ie: some creams can temporarily disguise your wrinkles – none of them can actually get rid of them.
To prevent or to slow down getting more then wear a good moisturiser with high spf daily – even in the winter.

I’ve watched a documentary on the BBC, which put hundreds of different ant-ageing products to the test. They also spoke to a dermatologist and asked her the exact same question.

The over-all outcome of the documentary was that some treatments can offer a quick fix but nothing that you can buy on the high street will give you permanent results. Not to mention how expensive some treatments can be.

The dermatologist pointed out how ridiculous some companies claims were on their adverts, such as L’oriel. One of their adverts had to be banned as it was misleading. She said a lot of companies try to blind you with scientific (non-existent) terms and names.

Only extreme invasive treatments such as chemical peels will give you results that last more than a day or two.

I was so interested and pleased that the documentary had been done – it opened my eyes to the money grabbing ethics of some cosmetic companies.

I now stick to a regime of drinking lots of water and plenty of sleep. I now prefer organic/natural moisturisers, AND always wear sunblock.

My conclusion was you cant stop or rewind the effects of ageing – only slow them down.

One of the best defences against ageing of the skin is sun block! It will protect your skin against the elements and keep it looking fresh. I use it all the time and have converted all my friends! Most anti ageing creams contain it (although they tend to give it a fancy name!) Experiment with a few different ones and find the one that’s right for you.

hi, i can’t really say much with the product ur referring but in general being an agent of beauty products i can say is that decreasing of the lines and wrinkles in some particular parts of our face cannot be easily remove in an instant. i has to be with continuous use of the product until you can see the difference. why not try for you to know if it really works for you. but first you need to know what type of skin you have maybe it could harm to your face.
