How do you minimize nose pores?

For years I have had large, deep pores on my nose and they constantly fill with white gunk. I’ve tried nose strips to clean out the pores and use a witch hazel after washing my face but the pores stay the same size. Is there any way I can get rid of (minimize) these massive pores?

Pores are normal, but people hate them. Sebum (oil) is also normal, but people hate it too, especially when it darkens at the surface (what are called "blackheads.") These are not part of a larger problem. Pores become more visible in the mid-20′s. There is no way to remove pores or change their size permanently. You can hide them with makeup, or have them cleaned periodically by having facials, or using pore strips, which are do-it-yourself facials–less effective but safe. If you have rosacea (I doubt it, based on your age and symptoms), that’s a different problem altogether. Microdermabrasion and peels help a bit, temporarily, as do creams containing Vitamin A derivatives, such as Retin-A.

agreed! you can not minimize your pores (unfortunately) but you can make them appear smaller by doing a couple of things.

- when washing you face, use warm water first to open your pores then use your normal face wash to get the dirt out. finish with cool/cold water to close them back up. cleaner pores will help them look smaller
- makeup helps to cover them up to try using a light weight formula that does not make up you shiny (oil free, try Maek Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover or try Clinique, most – if not all – are oilfree and are good for your skin)
- if that doesn’t satisfy you use a primer then foundation and that should def. hide your pores

just make sure you wash your face twice a day so that your pores don’t get clogged (they’ll look bigger/more noticeably if they are)

hope i helped!
